Concepts to focus on: The earth is reflecting for us the changes we are experiencing as the trees begin a subtle shift towards winter and the garden is full of change as the summer fruits get harvested and the winter crops are just beginning. We are learning to know each other and have begun to settle into a new routine together. We will begin to travel more widely, exploring new open spaces and discovering new favorite places. Set up opportunities to notice ACHIEVEMENT and success.

Colors: Colors darken and we notice the rich brown of the soil, red apples, green orange and yellow squash.

Activity Ideas: This is the perfect time of year to visit local farms and gardens. Visit the river and creeks, notice how dry they are becoming before the rains fill them up again. Most children are back in school now, so our parks and beaches have become less crowded. We can take our time in exploring.
