Concepts to focus on: As we watch the world change from winter into spring, we can feel ourselves change too. The key concept at this time is BECOMING. The earth is BECOMING ready for spring planting, the trees are BECOMING ready to experience warmer weather, the days are BECOMING longer. We can also see the children BECOMING: comfortable with saying goodbyes: more connected to their extended Seasons family: ready for new things!

Colors: The black, mixing with white and yellow in December, is now gray. Bright greens are emerging, and muted pastel colors are found turning brighter as the season moves on.

Ideas: Using the key concepts above, spend time discussing these concepts, preparing activities that create focus on changes. Notice all the becoming around you, and breathe in the excitement as Spring arrives. Bringing that with you each day to share with the children will be a gift.
